Thurrock Adult Community College - How to Enrol

Enrolling at Thurrock Adult Community College is easy, there are four different ways to enrol, in person, by phone, by post or by fax.

When reading through the course descriptions in the brochure, each course will have an ‘E' or an ‘A' next to it.

If you have chosen to enrol onto a course which has an ‘E' symbol next to the description, you can proceed with enrolment straight away.

However, if you have chosen a course with an 'A' symbol next to the description, you will need to speak to an adviser. This is an informal session to talk about your course options and if the level is right for you.

Enrol In Person

You can enrol in person at Grays Adult Education Centre. Complete the Enrolment Form and take along with the necessary payment and proof of benefit (if applicable, valid for 6 months).

Enrol By Phone

You can enrol onto your course by phone if your course has an ‘E' symbol next to the description.

Once you have chosen your course, please have your course information and debit/credit card details ready and call Grays Adult Education Centre on 01375 372476.

Lines are open Monday to Friday, opening times are listed on the Grays Adult Education Centre information page.

We cannot accept telephone enrolments for those on a benefit as documentary evidence is required.

Enrol By Post or Fax

You can enrol by post or fax, complete the Enrolment Form (including the P4 Postal/Telephone Payment Details section), and either fax to 01375 394104 or post along with the necessary payment and proof of benefit (if applicable) to:

For postal enrolments, please remember to enclose your cheque, made payable to Thurrock Council or complete the P4 Postal/Telephone Payment Details section of the enrolment form.

N.B. Please note postal enrolments must be received two weeks before the start of the course. Don't forget to include your registration and qualification fee.

Please note to decrease the risk of fraud we will no longer be sending credit card receipts out in the post and will also dispose of any credit/debit card details given.

Fees

The Skills Funding Agency subsidises the adult education provision offered in this brochure, with that funding are rules that we must abide by when enrolling learners. The fees and advice regarding eligibility and remission is correct at the time of going to print - this situation may change. If you have any questions about fees or course costs then please contact us.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a full funded or co-funded course the individual must have been a resident in the UK/EEA for three years before the course starts. If you are in full time education you are not eligible for further funding of courses.

Fee Remission

Skills Funding Agency's Funding Rules 2012/13 (June 2012) have confirmed no charges (tuition, accreditation, registration) are to be made for the following category of learners:

10% off tuition fees for courses that are 16 weeks and over, or 32 hours and above, if you pay the full amount at the time of enrolment.
