Thurrock Council provides family burial plots in cemeteries throughout the borough.
Cemeteries are laid out "Lawn Style" as largely inspired by the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the one exception is at Corringham.
A family plot is normally available for three burials.
Thurrock Council provides facilities for families whose relatives have been cremated.
The purchase of a plot secures the Exclusive Right of Burial to the deed holder.
Deeds can be transferred to another person or bequeathed in a Will.
Public Graves are also available.
Cemeteries records are available for public viewing during normal working hours at Civic Offices, New Road, Grays.
