Community Forums

Community Forums
Why should you get involved?

Community Forums are non-political voluntary groups made up of representatives form the local community including residents, schools, local businesses, health representatives, and voluntary, community and faith representatives.

Forums are regularly attended by local councillors, the police and other agencies. This is a two-way conversation. Local people can raise issues and the agencies can involve the forums in consultation and information sharing.

Forums can also:

  • Provide a way for the public to raise their own views and concerns about Thurrock Council or local issues;

  • Strengthen local community networks and develop constructive and effective partnerships between local people and the Council.

Community Forums work if you get involved
