Pupil Support - Teenage Pregnancy

Introduction

It is important to ensure that school age pregnant students/parents in Thurrock continue to have full access to an inclusive education and training system, and that a return to education, training or work based training is an option for post 16 year olds, working up to 19 years.

Thurrock Council's service offers support to parents, carers and pupils if they are experiencing difficulties, and provides information on the various professional services that may also be able to assist.

Teenage Pregnancy & Young Parents Advisor

The Teenage Pregnancy & Young Parents Advisor role is to ensure that school age pregnant students/parents in Thurrock have full access to an inclusive education and training system. Facilitating a return to education, training or work based training where necessary for post 16 yr olds up to 19yrs.

This service offers and advocacy and support to pupils, parents and carers as well as providing information about the different services available.
