Thurrock SACRE is a statutory body and meets three times a year at the Civic Offices in New Road, Grays. Every Local Authority (LA) has a duty to set up a local SACRE. SACRE's main function is to advise the LA on matters relating to Religious Education (RE) and to Collective Worship. Each year SACREs are bound to report to the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA) on the advice and guidance it has offered to the LA.
