Thurrock Council co-ordinates primary school admissions for all pupils. This means that you need only complete one application (plus a supplementary form for Orsett Church of England Primary or Catholic primary schools).
Please take the time to read our 'Primary Admission Information' brochure and follow the instructions for applying. It is essential that you submit your completed application form in good time, otherwise you will have less chance of getting a place at a school you would like your child to attend. These arrangements have been designed to ensure that every eligible pupil is sent an offer of a primary school place on the same day.
The 2012 primary school admissions round closed to on-time applications on 15 January 2012. Any application made now will be classed as a late application and will be processed after all on-time applications have been processed.
Applications received after the closing date are treated as late applications. This means there will be far less chance of your child being offered a place at a school you want.
