Allotments

'Thurrock Council has two allotment sites in the Corringham area, which both have water on-site, plus there are also 22 self-managed sites throughout the borough, with Thurloe Walk being the only one with no water on-site.

The sites range from 8 to 144 plots. Each plot is 10 rods in size, 1 rod is equal to 5½ yards, so each plot measures 11 yards wide by 27½ yards in length, but it is possible to rent just half a plot - 5 rods - if required.
