These awards are for the people of Thurrock, chosen by the people of Thurrock.
This person must have made a significant contribution and difference to the residents of Thurrock by showing outstanding service for the benefit of the Community (normally on a voluntary basis) since the previous Civic Awards were given.
A young person, who is 21 years of age or under who is making a positive endeavour to take part in community or voluntary activities, which benefits the local community or who regularly provides care or support to a relative or friend. .
