I am very sorry to tell you that the ReZonance project will be winding up at the end of April 2007.
As you may know, 90% of the funding for ReZonance came from the lottery distributor Youth Music.
Up until December 2006 we assumed we would be getting another years funding to run from 2007-2008.
Unfortunately Youth Music has decided to restructure the youth music action zones and have decided not to continue Thurrock ReZonance.
This makes me very sad as I have seen some fantastic work from Thurrock young musicians over the last year.
I hope you will want to join me in paying tribute to Simon, Victor, Angela, Jenny, Sally and Lynn who have made it all happen.
Thurrock Council will continue to seek funding for youth music projects in Thurrock. I hope you will want to be involved as and when these projects arise.
Your address details will now be held by the Thurrock Arts Team at the Thameside Theatre. If you would like to be deleted from the lists, please e-mail us on at thameside.theatre@thurrock.gov.uk
Wishing you a great musical future.
Yours sincerely
Mark Allinson
Thurrock Council Arts Manager

ReZonance is one of 24 Youth Music Action Zones in England and Wales, providing music making activities to young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
Youth Music funds and facilitates music-making for young people up to the age of 18, particularly those living in areas of social and economic need. By 2010, Youth Music aims to have reached 3 million children and young people in a nationwide strategy to support youth music-making. More information is available at www.youthmusic.org.uk
Since December 2000, Youth Music has set up 24 Action Zones in areas of social and economic need across England and Wales. The aim is to provide music-making activities to young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity. The Zones are made up of established organisations from the public, voluntary and private sector. They cover all genres of music and deliver a wide range of activities including workshops, rehearsals, performances, one-to-one teaching and mentoring.
