Can I see copies of agendas and minutes for meetings involving councillors?

Nearly all agendas and minutes of meetings involving Councillors are available for members of the public to view. These documents are available by visiting our Committee Management Information System Some meetings will have exempt items on them, which means they are closed to the public. However, public versions of the minutes concerning such items will be made available.

Councillors also attend meetings with officers concerning the internal running and organisation of Council business and because of their nature they are not open to the public.

I need to find a decision made by a certain committee. How do I find this?

The easiest way to find a decision by any committee is to look at the minutes of the meeting in which the decision was made. These can be found on our Committee Management Information System (CMIS).
If you do not know which meeting the decision was made at, then the 'search' function in CMIS will be able to help you locate what you are looking for. Please visit the Committee Management Information System - Search page.

When can I see the Minutes from a meeting?

The minutes from any council meeting are published, as a draft, on our Committee Management System within ten days of the date of the meeting. Hard copies of minutes are then presented in the agenda of the next meeting of that committee. When the committee approve the minutes at this meeting, the minutes cease to become a draft version.
