How do I go about getting a permit?

You need to make an application. You can download an application form from our Controlled Parking Zones / Parking Bays page in the Travel / Highways section of this site. Alternatively, if you call us we will send you an application form. You can then either return it to us or visit the Council Offices in New Road where it may be possible to process it on the spot. If sent by post it will normally take about a week. Applications must be supported by proof of residency and car ownership.

What if I'm moving into or out of a controlled parking area?

If you are moving in, please give us a call beforehand - we may be able to help with reserving space for your removal lorry. If you are moving out the same applies but in addition make sure that you return your old parking permits - if you don't it should be noted the new owners won't be able to get a permit for themselves.
