Publication Scheme - Search

What is the Publication Scheme?

We are required by law (under the Freedom of Information Act) to provide a document showing you what information we make publicly available, how it is held and how you can obtain it. Our scheme also advises you of any charges that might apply although this is unusual and often you will be able to get the information directly from our website. The scheme allows us to be open and transparent with our residents and customers about how the Council works and how we make decisions that affect you. All our published information has been put into seven main categories to help you find what you are interested in. Please use the search facility and Key, to find your way around our scheme.

Disclaimer

The information contained in our scheme is correct at the time of publishing. We will periodically review the content to maintain the scheme and keep it as up to date as possible. However, some information will change over time and may become out of date prior to reviews being completed.

Search Help Text

When searching for a title, there are a few things to take into account.

  1. The whole word is searched for, so for example if searching for the word ‘plan’ you will only get results with this word in the title. You will not get any results for that word appearing in a longer word, for example ‘planning’.
  2. Words being used to search titles need to be longer than three characters. If a word is three or less characters it is given the following formatting in the search results page, red with strikethrough e.g. formerly.
  3. There are words that are not searchable, see excluded words below for complete list. These words are also identified with the following formatting on the search results page, red with strikethrough e.g. corresponding.
  4. The only time excluded words are used, is if the ‘Exact match’ option is selected, and the excluded word is after the first word.
