Grangewaters Outdoor Education Centre

An experienced and established residential centre in a unique location, Grangewaters is an outdoor education and activity centre set in an ideal environment for young people and adults to learn, develop and be inspired.

The centre boasts a twenty-five acre watersports Lake set within a seventy-acre location where a large number of challenging, creative and educational outdoor activities, courses and programmes are on offer.

We are located twenty miles from Central London, five miles east of Grays and only a short travelling distance from many locations within Essex, Kent and the London Borough of Havering.

The centre is Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) licensed, is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre and is British Canoe Union approved, thereby ensuring all activities and sessions are organised and instructed under recognised procedures; with an emphasis placed on fun and development within a framework of safe practice.

Ranging from single day school visits for up to 300, to bespoke year long development programmes for re-engagement groups. Grangewaters is able to partner many schools, groups and organisations to achieve their extended schools provision, provide curriculum evidence for school subjects, complete all sections within the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, achieve many aspects of healthy living and compliment all themes within the Every Child Matters agenda.
