Why we are consulting

Purpose

Thurrock Council is in the process of updating and reviewing its housing policy (scheme) and is seeking views on how the current housing scheme and process can be updated and improved.

The questions in the survey will give you the opportunity to make your opinion known on how the council should allocate the housing stock that is available to it. The aim of the questionnaire is to gain your views on the council's allocation scheme processes, how applicants will be prioritised, the methods of assessing, awarding the priorities and any appeal mechanisms.
