Why we are consulting

Purpose

The purpose of this consultation is to seek the views of local residents concerning how to spend development funds often referred to as a "Section 106" agreement.

Section 106 is a financial contribution by developers to the local community. It is intended to offset or compensate for the negative impact caused by construction and development.

As a local resident we would like your views on how this money should be spent. We have included some proposals that have already been suggested at Community Forum meetings and Thurrock Park Residents' Association meetings.

The area covered is marked with a red line on the map attached to the consultation. It includes housing and land to the east of Gipsy Lane / Maple Road in Little Thurrock, to the north of the railway line, south of the A126 and west of the Dock Approach Road, incorporating the Thurrock Park Estate,
