Thurrock Register OfficeBirths, Deaths, Marriages, Civil Partnerships and Citizenship CeremoniesProviding a service for the public to carry out their legal duties to register all births, deaths and still births that occur within the district of Thurrock. We are responsible for taking notices of marriage and civil partnerships for people who reside in the district of Thurrock. A marriage or civil partnership may take place in the Grays Register Office or any other register office in England or Wales. Marriage ceremonies can be solemnised and civil partnerships formed in any Approved Premises in Thurrock, or elsewhere in England or Wales. Registration Staff from Grays Register office conduct ceremonies in Approved Premises within the District of Thurrock. We hold records of births, deaths and marriages, which took place in the district of Thurrock, from 1837. Certified copies of these records can be purchased if you pay the legal fee. A certified copy is not a photocopy and can be used for legal purposes. We also provide advice and help on re-registering births and the correcting of registration records which may have to be processed through the General Register Office. How to contact us
