Energy Monitors from Your Local Library

Have you ever wondered how much electricity you are using in your home? If you are a member of Thurrock's library service you can find out!

The council's private housing service leads the Warm and Healthy Homes Partnership, which has been recognised for its work and won a regional prize for their work in successfully tackling fuel poverty.

Prize money from the award has been used to buy energy display monitors and in Thurrock they are being promoted via the borough's libraries, so residents will now be able to borrow an energy monitor like a book!

When visiting your library, use your ticket and borrow an energy monitor to find out how much energy you are using at home and how much it is costing you!

There will be one in each library and they will be available to borrow in the same way people borrow books - you must use your library ticket to borrow one.
