Chadwell Library was opened in the current premises on 8th December 1964, this replaced a smaller building in the nearby shopping parade which opened in January 1937.
Chadwell Information Centre was opened on 18th March 2002 as a Same Stop Shop for the Library and Local Housing Office in Chadwell.
