ABV (Alcohol By Volume) is an indication of how much alcohol (expressed as a percentage) is included in an alcoholic beverage. This measurement is assumed as the world standard.

A Unit of alcohol is an approximate measure of the amount of alcohol in different drinks. A unit of alcohol is equivalent to 10 millilitres (or approximately 8 grams) of pure ethanol, the active chemical ingredient in alcoholic beverages.
