A comprehensive debt recovery service is provided covering all aspects of debt collection but excluding Council Tax, Non-domestic rates and Housing rents. Examples of the types of debt dealt with include Overpayment of Housing Benefit, Commercial Rents, Service Charge, Building Regulation Fees, Home Care and Residential debts. The Team is responsible for the despatch of invoices and the control of monies received. A set down reminder process is followed resulting in legal action commencing in the County Court to recover a debt when the reminder process has failed. The Team also deals with mortgage matters, staff car loans and Private Street Works accounts.
