The Beginner Brass Group meets on Monday evenings between 5:00pm and 6:00pm at the Culver Centre, South Ockendon and is aimed at the young learner who wishes to play in a small ensemble group with players of a similar standard.
The music covered is of a limited range and will supplement the pieces played in instrumental lessons. Useful exercises are also included to help improve range and tone quality.
The group also performs at various concerts throughout the borough, most often supporting the Thurrock Music Services Concert Wind Band and have played pieces in a variety of simple styles ranging from hymn-like tunes to folk songs and simple dance music.
A good time is had by all at the Beginner Brass Group so come along and join the fun!
