News Archive - Tots drop-in on evening council mee

Monday, 4 October 2004

Little visitors have been making the most of the facilities at Thurrock Council's Civic Offices. TOT STOP - Community Creche drop-in centre is helping to keep young minds active while their parents visit the offices on business.

And, in a bid to encourage more people to participate in council activities and become more involved with decisions that affect them and their community, Thurrock Council is pleased to announce that the crèche will now provide cover for selected evening council meetings.

TOT STOP will be open between 6.30 and 9pm for the following evening meetings: Full Council, Cabinet, Planning Committee, Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee and Licensing Committee.

The facility is part of the council's commitment to furthering the childcare agenda for the community.

The crèche has space for between 12 and 15 children aged between two and seven and is a joint partnership with Premier Crèche Service.

For more information call 01375 652652 or visit the Civic Offices reception. Dates for all public meetings can be found on the Community Focus page in the Gazette or by visiting the council's website at www.thurrock.gov.uk.
