News Archive - Tea time for charity

Monday, 20 June 2011

Residents and visitors had a relaxing time raising money for charity on Thursday (16 June).

Arthur Barnes Court residents got together with Arthur Barnes Court Day Care at the complex in Chadwell St Mary, to hold a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Pamela Hines, Thurrock Council's Sheltered Housing Officer, said: "I feel this is a great cause not only for my own personal reasons, but also for the residents and community I work with daily.

"A great afternoon was had by all which ended with a good old sing along."

The tea party raised £90 for the charity.
