Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Order on 9th July 2012. The Order comes into force on 10th August 2012.
The general effect of the Order is to provide a restriction on all goods vehicles over a maximum gross weight of 7.5 tonnes from proceeding in any of the lengths of road that fall within the boundary entry points as described in Schedule 1.
A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, Thurrock, Essex, RM17 6SL, during normal office hours.
Any person wishing to question the validity of The order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
