There will be no change to household wheeled bin collection days due to the Whitsun holiday this year. Streets that usually have waste collections on Mondays will still have collections on the Whitsun holiday Monday.
The regular weekly waste and recycling collection days from many streets in Thurrock are set to change from June this year. We will be publishing new collection days over the coming weeks. Each household will receive a notification of its new collection day. Collections will remain on a weekly basis for all three bins. No other part of the service to residents will be affected.
Domestic waste is collected on a weekly basis from all properties in the borough. Recyclable waste is collected from blue wheeled bins, kitchen and garden waste from brown wheeled bins, and non-recyclable waste from green/grey wheeled bins.
Your wheeled bins will be emptied on the designated collection day for your road. Changes to collection dates due to public holidays will be notified for each road.

In the event of missed collections, for example due to adverse weather or blocked access due to vehicle obstructions, we will always try to return on the next working day.
For example, if you live in Davis Road, Aveley you would select D from the A to Z list. This will present you with a list of all roads in the borough beginning with the letter D, along with their next collection dates. Simply scroll down to Davis Road, Aveley where you will find a link to the next three months' scheduled collection dates, showing alternatives if the usual date has changed due to a public holiday.
