TRUP is a leading re-use organisation in Thurrock. It aims to reduce landfill by providing low-cost goods.
TRUP was formed in November 2007 as a Charitable Company, Limited by Guarantee based on a social enterprise business model. The organisation has evolved over the years and is now a thriving, well respected Social Enterprise, operating from 6000sq.ft. in East Tilbury on the former Bata Shoe Factory Estate.
TRUP collects and redistributes a wide range of re-useable items in Thurrock and the surrounding area and provides training and volunteering opportunities for a wide range of people, including back-to-work training programmes, individually tailored supported volunteering for clients with learning difficulties and general volunteering for people who just want to be involved with a worthwhile course, all from something that could have ended up in a hole in the ground.
TRUP is open from Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 4:00pm
