You can help those most in need by signing-up as a care assistant or care coordinator, willing to support people in their own home.

About the roles
Our teams provide care that meets the needs of vulnerable people, at the times they need it. They include:
- Extra Care at Piggs Corner, Grays
- Collins House Residential Home in Corringham
- Thurrock Care at Home
- Thurrock Care Partnership
- Joint Reablement Team working within the residents' own homes
We also have Day Care Centres in Grays, South Ockendon and Stanford-le-Hope.
Casual staff will be offered unallocated shifts from each of the teams.
The role involves helping residents with all aspects of their daily lives, including:
- moving and handling
- personal care
- food preparation
Training is provided. You will be expected to attend courses and join experienced colleagues on care calls before providing care alone.
You will need to:
- be patient
- be understanding
- be genuinely caring
- build a rapport with those you are supporting
- travel to where the care is needed, either using public transport or your own vehicle
