Thurrock Thameside Nature Park – Wildfest

Wildfest aims to educate and enthral children about wildlife – celebrate marine month and protect the planet at this fantastic Site of Special Scientific Interest on the shores of the Thames Estuary.

There is a full day of activities, including:

  • making a plastic rubbish sculpture
  • giant bubble blowing from the roof
  • music making
  • nature tots free play area
  • face painting
  • under the sea workshops
  • a beach combing experience

There will be food and drink stalls, and a picnic area.

6 workshops will take place at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm and 3pm, each lasting 45 minutes. Take part for a donation of £3.50 each! Places are limited to 15 per session.

Workshops are:

  • fire-lighting and cooking
  • pewter smelting
  • slime making
  • potions and spells
  • flying fish windsock
  • rockpool creatures

There will also be displays and stalls from local producers and crafts people.
