Request:
What is your strategy for connectivity services regarding the schools in your jurisdiction? (i.e. broadband, internet connectivity).
- Do you provide services directly?
- Are they provided by a partner and if so who?
- Are schools left to decide the strategy for themselves?
Response:
Although in the past Thurrock have offered internet connectivity services to schools, they have always been left to decide their own strategy. In April Thurrock withdrew the service offering and so now all schools in the borough get their connectivity from 3rd party suppliers.
