Out of Borough Schools

Publication date:
Tuesday 22 October 2019

Can you please provide the number of applications that were made to out of Borough schools (list individually) and how many of these children were accepted. Particularly interested in how many children applied to The Campion School in Hornchurch and how many were accepted.

Please see attached document Appendix A.

The response figures in the attached excel spreadsheet are based on 1st-6th preferences received on-time.

The offers are based on offers made to on-time applications on national offer day - 1st March 2019.

The total number of applications received for out of borough schools includes all preference ranks on parent’s applications. Therefore the offers made are very low in comparison to the number of applications as some parents would have up to 6 out of borough preferences on their application but each parent only receives 1 offer.

We are unable to provide an exact number as:

  • Personal data of any other person is exempt under section 40 (2) of the Data Protection Act

However in the interests of transparency we are able to provide this information to you categorised as fewer than 5 to give you an indication of the figures
