Recycling Rates

Could you please aim to answer question 1 on the recycling rates? Not including composting, just % recycled of household waste.

1. The percentage of wastage recycled by your council (i.e. recycling rate), broken down by year for 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.


The percentage of Household waste re-used, recycled and composted is reported on financial rather than calendar years.

For the period requested the figures are:

  • 2015/2016 - 37.89%
  • 2016/2017 - 37.09%
  • 2017/2018 - 36.04%
  • 2018/2019 - 35.0%
