Staff parking costs, policies and procedures

Request: 

1. Do you provide parking for staff?

2. How many car parking spaces are available for members of staff to use?

3. Are these spaces allocated to staff members via parking permits? If no please specify how parking for staff is managed.

4. Do you charge staff for parking?

5. If you do charge staff for parking, please confirm how much each staff member if charged per annum?

6. Do you charge staff members based on pay grade/salary?

7. Do you deduct the parking charges directly from the staff members salary?

8. Do you provide circumstantial discounts for staff parking e.g. part time staff, car shares etc.

9. Do you provide free parking for disabled blue badge holders?

10. If you do charge for staff parking, please provide electronic copies of procedures and processes for the application and payment of a parking permit.

11. If you do charge staff for parking, please provide electronic copies of staff parking regulations, policies and terms and conditions.

2. With regard to the Civic Offices parking – 167 spaces are available on site, 240 are available via the local MSCP 

3. Business parking for staff is based on a Business User Scheme, which factors in various elements, such as number or trips, distance, passengers, cargo etc.

4. Not if they are classed as Business Users.  A Pay to Park subsidised scheme is available to staff using the local MSCP

5. The pay to park scheme is £40 per month

In issuing our response the Council has applied S43 of the Freedom of Information Act.  Information is exempt information if its disclosure under this Act would, or would be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of any person (including the public authority holding it).  A commercial interest relates to a person’s ability to successfully participate in a commercial activity, i.e. the purchase and the sale of goods or services.
