Gloriana housing development

New high-quality housing

Gloriana Thurrock Ltd is a development company that creates new, high-quality housing across the borough.

It was set-up and is funded by Thurrock Council. Any profits made by the company can be used for further housing development or to support services.

Gloriana will build around 500 new homes during the next few years, including:

  • flats
  • starter homes
  • family housing

These will be available for:

  • rent
  • sale
  • supported ownership

Gloriana will act as a 'private' landlord for rented properties, while those for sale will be available at market value.

St Chad's, Tilbury

The first Gloriana housing development started in 2015 at the old St Chad's School site, Tilbury.

There will be 128 new homes on the site, of which there will be:

  • 57 two-bedroom homes
  • 63 three-bedroom homes
  • 8 four-bedroom houses

The development will be completed by August 2017.

A number of 2-bedroom houses will be available for affordable rent and allocated to people on the council's housing register from September and October 2017.
