Temporary changes to bin collections

We have had to make some temporary changes to the way we collect household waste and recycling during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Your blue bin and green/grey bin will still be collected on your usual day every week.

Your brown bin will now be collected once every 2 weeks – weeks are listed below.

Bin Collection
Blue bin Collected on your usual day
Green/grey bin

Collected on your usual day

Non-recyclable waste only – no food, grass cuttings or garden waste.

Brown bin One week out of every 2 weeks

When disposing of waste and putting out your bins, please:

  • bag all tissues before disposing of them
  • make sure your bins are out by 5am for collection
  • stay at least 2 metres from our bin staff as they do their work

Brown bin collections in May

The table below shows brown bin collection weeks for each ward of the borough. To check which ward you live in, put your road name or postcode in the 'My area' box and select 'Go'.

You should put out your brown bin before 5am on the Monday shown for your ward, and leave it out each day until it is collected during that week.

We cannot say exactly which day of the week your bin will be collected. Our crews are working hard to collect bins as soon as possible, within the government's coronavirus (COVID-19) rules.
