Thurrock Council is encouraging residents and visitors to make the most of the warm weather and discover what Thurrock has to offer.
With its rich heritage, nature-filled parks, beautiful riverfront and exciting programme of events, there really is something for the whole family to enjoy in the borough.
Whether it be exploring Tilbury Fort or Coalhouse Fort, enjoying the great outdoors at Chafford Gorges Nature Park or Thameside Nature Park, or watching a show at Thameside Theatre in Grays, the options are endless.
The council is keen to promote both Thurrock’s best-known attractions and its hidden treasures this summer, showcasing just what makes it such a great place to live and visit.
Cllr Deborah Huelin, portfolio holder for communities, said: "We are very fortunate to have so many excellent attractions, venues and events in Thurrock, and want to shine a light on the borough's most loved places and its hidden gems.
"Whether it is our picturesque parks and river walks, one of the largest retail destinations in Europe or this summer's exciting programme of events, we really do have something for everyone.
"So whatever people enjoy, I would encourage them to discover what Thurrock has to offer this summer."
The council will be promoting Thurrock throughout the summer, particularly on social media. Search #DiscoverThurrock on Twitter or follow the council’s new Instagram page, instagram.com/thurrockcouncil
