Nominations for this year's Thurrock Education Awards will now be accepted until midnight on Sunday 13 October.
Extending the nomination period by a week gives parents, colleagues and young people an extra 7 days to submit their entries across our 11 award categories.
Cllr James Halden, Cabinet member for education and health, said: "We have received a fantastic response to this year's Thurrock Education Awards so far, with some of our most hardworking colleagues and teams being recognised for their passion, commitment and dedication.
"By extending the nomination period we can make sure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to nominate an individual or a team in our early years, schools, colleges and sixth forms for an award. If you have someone – or a team – in mind for an award, nominations only require a short supporting statement of up to 300 words so please take a moment this week to put them forward."
