Nominations for the local election, due to take place on Thursday 6 May 2021, have officially closed and the names of the candidates standing in Thurrock have been announced. Details of the candidates can be found at thurrock.gov.uk/elections
The election for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex is also due to take place on this date. Details of candidates standing for the position of PFCC have also been added to thurrock.gov.uk/elections
Anyone not registered to vote needs to apply at gov.uk/register-to-vote or by calling 01375 652 816 before midnight on Monday 19 April 2021.
Those who want to make a postal vote must contact the elections office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01375 652 816 to register by 5pm on Tuesday 20 April.
