Thurrock Council is conducting a survey to find out about the priorities of those living in the borough and help shape how services are designed and delivered.
Many departments consult regularly with service users, however this is the first council-wide survey for more than 6 years, and will find out residents' opinions on the vision, image and service delivery of the council, as well as Thurrock the place including growth and regeneration.
Some residents in Thurrock will receive a telephone call from BMG – the market research company who are conducting the survey on behalf of the council. The calls will take place during November.
Although not all residents will be able to participate, the survey will be carried out in such a way to ensure residents of all ages, genders, ethnicities and areas of the borough are represented in the findings.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Rob Gledhill, said: "We often hear from our local residents about what is important to them and helping people is part of what's great about being a councillor.
"It is the right thing to ask a broad selection of residents on how we're doing. We know clean it, cut it, fill it has boosted the way some residents feel about where they live, but there is always room for improvement.
"This research will help us dig a little deeper into the perceptions and priorities residents have, so they are front and centre when developing policy and how we deliver services in the future. If you do get a call please spare some time to share your thoughts with us."
