By-election in Ockendon ward called for March

Following Kevin Wheeler's resignation as an elected member for Ockendon Ward, a by-election has been called for March.

The by-election is scheduled to be held on Thursday 22 March 2018.

Only voters in the Ockendon ward will be eligible to vote and the polling stations on the day will be:

  • Belhus Village Hall, Daiglen Drive, South Ockendon, RM15 5AE
  • Benyon Court OAP Complex, Peartree Close, South Ockendon, RM15 6PY
  • Bonnygate Primary School, Arisdale Avenue, South Ockendon, RM15 5BA
  • Brandon Groves Community Hall, Brandon Groves Avenue, South Ockendon, RM15 6TD

Voting will be open from 7am until 10pm with the count taking place following close of poll.

The deadline to apply to register to vote is midnight Tuesday 6 March 2018 which you can do by visiting gov.uk/register-to-vote.

The deadline for postal vote applications is 5pm, Wednesday 7 March 2018 and for proxy votes is 5pm, Wednesday 14 March 2018.
