Parent Partnership for special education needs

Overview

We provide free, confidential and impartial advice and support to parents and carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. We empower parents and carers so they can play an informed and active part in their child's education.

The support and advice we provide covers a range of issues, including:

  • statutory assessments of special educational needs
  • the help available from the council and other providers
  • mediation and conciliation

We also provide training for parents and carers, schools and other professionals.
