Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above on 1 March 2023 the Order will come into force on 31 March 2023.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the locations specified below:

a. Shearwater Avenue / Princess Margaret Road junction
b. Shearwater Avenue / Sandpiper Close junction and opposite the junction
c. Shearwater Avenue / Sanderling Close junction and opposite the junction
d. Shearwater Avenue / Turnstone Close junction and opposite the junction
e. Shearwater Avenue / Lapwin Close junction
f. Shearwater Avenue / Pintail Close junction
g. Shearwater Avenue / Pipit Close junction and opposite the junction
h. Sandpiper Close both sides from south boundary of 41 Sandpiper Close to north boundary of 55 Sandpiper Close
i. both sides of the northeast end of the access road to 41-47 Sandpiper Close
j. both sides of the northeast end of the access road to 49-55 Sandpiper Close
k. both sides of the southwest end of the access road to 41-47 Sandpiper Close
l. both sides of the southwest end of the access road to 49-55 Sandpiper Close
m. Sanderling Close both sides from the south boundary of 37 Sanderling Close to the north boundary of 51 Sanderling Close
n. both sides of the northeast end of the access road to 37-43 Sanderling Close

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers to conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
