Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Prohibition of Cycling

Bellmaine Avenue footpath, Corringham

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4 and 92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act") after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order is that:

a) no person shall ride, cause or permit any motor vehicles, pedal scooter, e-scooter or bicycle to be ridden along the length of footpath leading from Springhouse Road, Corringham to access numbers 51 to 65 Bellmaine Avenue, Corringham and Tom Wood Hall, Bellmaine Avenue from a point north of Springhouse Road for a distance of 28 metres

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 10 December 2021. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
