Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Bluelands Quarry, Stonehouse Lane, Purfleet-on-Thames

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

A. to revoke existing waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. the northwest arm of Stonehouse Lane, on the southwest kerb line, from the southern arm of Stonehouse Lane in a northwest direction for a distance of 93m
ii. the northwest arm of Stonehouse Lane, on the northeast kerb line, from the northern arm of Stonehouse Lane in a northeast direction for a distance of 59m

B. to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. the northwest arm of Stonehouse Lane, on the southwest kerb line, from the south arm of Stonehouse Lane in a northwest direction for a distance of 92m
ii. the northwest arm of Stonehouse Lane, on the north kerb line, from a point 92m northwest of the Dolphin Way Roundabout in a northeast direction for a distance of 26m into the entrance to the DVSA vehicle inspection area
iii. the northwest arm of Stonehouse Lane, on the northeast kerb line, from a point 69m northeast of the Dolphin Way roundabout for a distance 10m in a southeast direction to the entrance of the hotel complex
iv. the northwest arm of Stonehouse Lane, on the northeast kerb line, from the north arm of Stonehouse Lane in a northeast direction for a distance of 69m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 13 October 2022. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
