Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Chafford and North Stifford no.1

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

a) on the north side of Edward Close, from a point 2m east of the northwest flank wall of 12 Edward Close, in a west direction along the kerb line for a distance of 15m
b) on the south side of Edward Close, from a point opposite 2m east of the northwest flank wall of 12 Edward Close in a west direction along the kerb line for a distance of 12m
c) on the east side of Carew Close, from a point 2.65m south of the north flank wall of 24 Carew Close, in a south direction then an east direction along the kerbline for the distance of 18m
d) on the east side of Carew Close, from a point 1.35m north of the south flank wall of 44 Carew Close, in a north direction then an east direction along the kerbline for the distance of 17.6m
e) on the north side of Carew Close, from a point 3m east of the west flank wall of 20 Carew Close, in an east direction then a north direction along the kerbline for the distance of 17.9m
f) on the south side of Carew Close, from a point 2.3m east of the west flank wall of 48 Carew Close, in a west direction then a south direction along the kerbline for the distance of 19.1m
g) on the east side of Carew Close, from a point 2.4m north of common boundary wall of 51 and 53 Carew Close, in a north direction for a distance of 24.2m
h) on the north side of Frobisher Gardens, from a point 1m east of the east flank wall of 165 Frobisher Gardens along the kerbline, in a west direction for a distance of 9m and a north direction for a distance of 10.2m
i) on the north side of Frobisher Gardens, from a point 7m west of the east flank wall of 131 Frobisher Gardens along the kerbline, in an east direction for a distance of 9.2m and a north direction for a distance of 10.9m
j) on the south side of Cardinal Road, from a point 4.8m west of the east flank wall of 7 Cardinal Road along the kerbline, in a west direction then south for a distance of 18m
k) on the south side of Cardinal Road, from a point 2.1m east of the west flank wall of 9 Cardinal Road along the kerbline, in an east direction then south for a distance of 18.2m
l) on the north side of Cardinal Road, from a point 0.5m west of the west flank wall of 18 Cardinal Road along the kerbline, in an east direction for a distance of 23m
m) on the north side of Cardinal Road, from a point 0.5m southeast of the southeast flank wall of 20 Cardinal Road, along the kerbline in a northwest direction then north east direction for a distance of 37m
n) on the south side of Cardinal Road, from a point opposite 3m southeast of the southeast flank wall of 20 Cardinal Road, along the kerbline in a northwest direction then west direction for a distance of 16.7m
o) on the north side of Cook Close, from a point opposite 4.9m northeast of southwest flank wall of 13 Cardinal Road, along the kerbline in a northeast direction, a northwest direction, then a southwest direction for a distance of 32.4m
p) on the north side of Caravel Close, from a point 14.50m west of the west flank wall of 34 Caravel Close along the kerbline, in a west direction, then a north direction for a distance of 17.8m
q) on the south side of Caravel Close, from a point opposite 14.50m west of the west flank wall of 34 Caravel Close, along the kerbline in a west direction, then a south for a distance of 18.6m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 11 August 2023. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
