Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Waiting Restrictions

Chafford and North Stifford, no.2

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce Waiting Restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

a) at the junction of Cumberland Road and Founes Drive
b) at the junction of Cumberland Road and Chester Close
c) at the junction of Cumberland Road and Fenton Road
d) on the western kerb line of Cecil Avenue from a point 10m south of the southern kerb line of Bark Burr Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 50m
e) at the junction of Clifford Road and Bull Close
f) on the western kerb line of Bull Close from the shared boundary wall of numbers  18 and 20 Bull Close northwards for a distance of 15m
g) on the eastern kerb line of Bull Close from the shared boundary wall of numbers 1 and 5 Bull Close northwards for a distance of 15m
h) on the northern kerb line of Hawkins Drive from the eastern flank wall of number 11 Hawkins Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of 12m
i) on the northern kerb line of Hawkins Drive from the eastern flank wall of number 37 Hawkins Drive in a southerly direction for a distance of 12m
j) on the southern kerb line of Hawkins Drive from the eastern flank wall of number 12 Hawkins Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of 12m
k) on the southern kerb line of Hawkins Drive from the southern flank wall of number 40 Hawkins Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of 12m
l) at the junction of Edmund Road and Hawkins Drive
m) at the junction of Clockhouse Lane and High Road, North Stifford

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development Team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 6 August 2020. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
