Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Dudley Close, Chafford and North Stifford

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 21 December 2023, the order will come in to force on 1 February 2024.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following location(s):

i. on the north side of Dudley Close from a point 3.5m west of the west boundary wall of 113 Dudley Close in an east direction for a distance of 21.5m
ii. on the north side of Dudley Close from a point 2m west of the west boundary wall of 78 Dudley Close in an east direction to a point 3m northwest of the east boundary wall of 78 Dudley Close
iii. on the north side of Dudley Close from a point 2m west of the east boundary wall of 74 Dudley Close to a point 3.5m northeast of the east boundary wall of 70 Dudley Close
iv. on the south side of Dudley Close from a point 6m southwest of the west boundary wall of 50 Dudley Close following the kerb line in a southwest direction to a point 1m north of the south boundary wall of 48 Dudley Close
v. on both sides of Dudley Close from a point 10m north of the north kerb line of Drake Road in a north direction for a distance of 5m

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
