1)The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect of
which is to: -
 

- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along the entry on slip Orsett Cock Interchange to A13 westbound.
 

-Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along the A13 westbound from the A13 onslip from Orsett Cock interchange to its junction with A1089 exit slip.

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out carriageway
resurfacing.

3) The alternative route for will be Orsett Cock Interchange, A128 Brentwood Road, A128
Bulphan Bypass, A128 Tilbury Road, Halfway House Roundabout, Westbound Slip From
A128 To A127, Southend Arterial Road westbound, slip road from A127 To M25 westbound,
M25 southbound, exit slip to Junction 30, Junction 30 (Mardyke Interchange), A13
eastbound.

4) The Order will come into force on the 15th June 2026 at 21:00hrs. Works are currently
scheduled to take place nightly between 15th June 2026 and 19th June 2026 between the
hours of 2 1 : 0 0 a n d 05:00. Exact dates however will always be specified
o n https://one.network/?tm=GB150265615 It only applies to those days and times
when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with
The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order
will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been
completed, whichever is the sooner

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer
period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
