Notice of Making an Order – Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map Statement, Modification Order 2019
Highways Act 1980 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
The above Order, made on 29 April 2019, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) and Section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert public Footpath 160 running from a point 54m from Harrow Road through the Former Harrow Inn to the property boundary as shown on the Order map.
This Order is also made under sections 53A(2) and 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 ("the 1981 Act") because it appears to the authority that the Definitive Map and Statement requires modification in consequence of the occurrence of an event specified in section 53(3)(a)(ii) and (iii) of the 1981 Act, namely, the diversion (as authorised by this Order) of a highway shown or required to be shown in the Definitive Map and Statement.
A copy of the Order together with the plan will be available for inspection by appointment for a period of 42 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL, during normal office hours between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday appointments can be made by telephone to 01375 652 350. Any representations about or objections to the Order must be made in writing to the Highways Department, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent to the address above to arrive on or before Friday 21 June 2019. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
If no such representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Thurrock Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
