Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Prohibition of Waiting and Loading on Verges and Footways

Grays Area Intervention Programme (AIP) area 16

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) 4(2) Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to prohibit waiting and loading on verges and footways at the location(s) specified below:

i. both sides of King Edward Drive for the entire length
ii. both sides of Parkside for the entire length
iii. both sides of Hazel Gardens for the entire length
iv. both sides of Woodlands Close for the entire length
v. both sides of Crofton Road for the entire length
vi. both sides of Gordon Road for the entire length
vii. both sides of Carlton Road for the entire length
viii. both sides of Masefield Road for the entire length
ix. both sides of Woodview from its junction with Culverin Avenue in a west direction to the west flank wall of 57 Woodview
x. both sides of Stanford Road from the western boundary of 2 Stanford Road in a north east direction to a point 20m northeast of the east flank wall of 44 Stanford Road

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 11 September 2022. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
