Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Disabled Badge Holders Parking Bay

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to Introduce a Disabled Badge Holders Parking Bay at the location(s) specified below:

i. on the northern side of Argent Street, from the eastern flank wall of 1 to 29 Alma Court, in a westerly direction for a distance of 5m
ii. on the south side of Bedford Road, from the common boundary wall of 20 and 22 Bedford Road, in a westerly direction for a distance of 6.6m
iii. Parker Road, the first western bay in the northern parking bays adjacent to the Belmont Village Hall
iv. on the northern side of New Road from a point 16m east of the eastern kerb line of High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 17m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 23 September 2021. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
